Dr. Stanley Jacobs announced today that his surgical practice, The Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery, has once again achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC/Accreditation Association) for the longest and most comprehensive accreditation term of three years. The AAAHC Accreditation is a process through which an organization measures the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards. The accreditation certificate is a symbol that an organization is committed to providing high-quality health care and that it has demonstrated that commitment by measuring up to the Accreditation Association’s high standards.
Status as an accredited organization means The Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care, set by the Accreditation Association. Over 2200 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by the AAAHC.
The Accreditation Committee awards an organization accreditation for three years when it concludes that the organization is in substantial compliance with the standards, and the committee has no reservations about the accuracy of the survey findings or the organization’s commitment to continue providing high-quality care and services as reflected in the standards.

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by the AAAHC undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based survey of its facilities and services. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation; not all undergoing the on-site survey are granted accreditation.
Among the types of ambulatory health care organizations that can seek AAAHC accreditation are ambulatory and office-based surgery centers, single and multi-specialty group practices, college health centers, dental group practices, community health centers, occupational health centers and managed care organizations.
